This is a plain-English description of the terms for using GitCalc. It is not a substitute for legal advice — see the banner above.
GitCalc is a version-control and diffing layer for Excel-based engineering calculations. You upload spreadsheet files; GitCalc stores them, shows you what changed between versions, and lets others review. GitCalc never replaces Excel, never edits your spreadsheet, and never executes or rebuilds a workbook.
You own the content of the calcs you upload. We store it to provide the service; we don't claim any ownership over it, and we don't sell it. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what's stored and where.
GitCalc is provided during an early launch phase. Diffing and classification of changes ("signal" vs "noise") is a best-effort tool to help you review changes faster — it is not a substitute for your own engineering judgment and review of the underlying spreadsheet. GitCalc is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We aim to keep GitCalc available and your data intact, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Back up anything critical outside GitCalc as well.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. This permanently removes your calcs, versions, and records — export your data first if you want to keep a copy, since deletion cannot be undone.
We may update these terms as GitCalc evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top of this page.
